Robert Lusi

Robert Follett Lusi, often called Folly by his friends, came to Berkeley with one goal in mind: to annoy his labmates with his fake southern accent. Folly comes to Berkeley by way of Brown University, where he presided successfully over the fraternity Beta Rho Pi in his term as president. When not being a frat star, he worked on the synthesis and characterization of Yariv reagents in the lab of Amit Bahsu. His hobbies include: "keepin' it crispy", natural product total synthesis, and seeing how many times in a conversation that he can mention how he worked at AstraZeneca for two years. Late at night, he can be found wandering the halls of Latimer muttering repeatedly, "why did I come here?", and then blasting Cardi B to forget his pain. After a long night of frustrated muttering, he manages to lift his spirits by binge-eating sleeves of oreos.
