Diana Wang grew up in the cozy, sleepy town of Chesterfield, Missouri, where she spent much of her childhood running barefoot in the woods with the neighborhood kids and bringing injured animals back to her screaming mother. Stifled by the languid, conservative environment, she flew over to UC Berkeley and decided to study Chemical Biology after she found her passion for organic chemistry. Currently, she's working in the Sarpong Group on the methodology of allylic oxidation via selenium dioxide chemistry. In her free time, Diana enjoys reading, playing tennis, and boasting that she enjoys the subtle intricacies of indie folk music while harboring a love for jamming out to senseless, trashy pop music.
