Josh Deitch

Josh Deitch was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. After spending his formative years rock climbing and playing lacrosse, Josh traded the warm, sunny embrace of So Cal for the frigid winters of Philadelphia (don't ask us why), where he attended the University of Pennsylvania. There, Josh worked on developing methodology for enantioselective Claisen rearrangements with Marisa Kozlowski. Upon his triumphant return to California to attend Berkeley, Josh has brought with him a love for all of Philadelphia's sports teams (except the 76ers, he is still conveniently a Lakers fan), a red Phillies hat that he wears at all times so that he is easy to find in crowds, and most importantly, a passion for organic synthesis. Although Josh enjoys chemistry, his true passion lies elsewhere. Unable to fight the urge to seek fame and fortune in his hometown any longer, he dreams of returning to LA to pursue a career as a singer/rapper/songwriter. His preparations are already underway; Josh can be heard performing his original covers of popular songs (mostly an eclectic mix of Michael Jackson and Eminem hits) as they are played over the stereo in 842 Latimer… At least he will have his chemistry to fall back on.

P.S. A $ 20 reward will be paid to the first person who can beat Josh at Super Smash Brothers. We are tired of hearing him brag about how good he is.
