Blodgett Forest -Seasonal observations of reactive nitrogen compounds have been obtained at the UC Blodgett Forest since 1998. Current efforts at this site include characterization of factors affecting ozone production efficiency in the Sacramento plume, observing fluxes of speciated NOy compounds using the thermal dissociation-LIF technique developed in our labs at Berkeley, and evaluating the extent of export of local sources of reactive nitrogen to the global atmosphere. Observations of hydrocarbons, ozone, and meteorological parameters at Blodgett forest are efforts of Prof. Allen Goldstein’s research group.
