I am interested in quantum simulation of physical systems whose origins range from quantum chemistry to condensed-matter physics. Recently, I have been working on the performance of variational hybrid quantum-classical algorithms that can efficiently find eigenvalues of an (often large) matrix on a near-term, noisy intermediate-scale quantum computer. I also work jointly with Prof. Irfan Siddiqis Quantum Nanoelectronics Lab (QNL), in which I endeavor to actualize the theoretical ideas developed on the superconducting qubit hardware.
