I am interested in all aspects of theoretical physics, in particular those relating to fundamental quantum mechanics, quantum optics and quantum information. I am exploring the possibility that quantum collective phenomena produce a significant enhancement in physical measurement, beyond that of conventional instruments, even in real-world noisy environments.
I am also intrigued by quantum non-linear systems. My recent research describes the quantum annealing of a coupled spin system to the proximity of a phase transition; harnessing "criticality as a resource" for application to sensors.
