Roger Sender
Roger manages the Arnold group, trying to keep us employed, supplied, and protected from "the elements." Because he's not satisfied with just one group, he also manages the Jon Ellman and Dean Toste labs. He's just moonlighting though, as his training is in classical-modern, music composition.

Marty Mulvihill
Marty graduated from Reed College in 2002 after writing his Senior thesis with Maggie Geselbracht. He is currently a joint student with the Peidong Yang group, and is working on new Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) substrates to be used for contaminant detection in ground water. He is also saving the world one electron at a time…with help from his fellow members of Chemists for Peace.

Wayne Chomitz
After a short period of research in the lab of Maurice Brookhart, Wayne decided going to graduate school might not be that bad of an idea and headed west to Berkeley. Wayne is now in his 4th year. When not in the lab, Wayne likes to watch his Tar Heels run up the score on everybody.

Stefan Minasian
Stefan graduated with a B.A. in Chemistry from Reed College in 2002, and spent a few years hopping from lab to lab before he came to his senses and went to graduate school. In his spare time Stefan brews beer, cooks, writes in the 3rd person and designs websites.

Henry Storms La Pierre

Henry, somehow also known as Pete, graduated from Harvard University in 2006.  As an undergraduate researcher he worked under the tutelage of Prof. Jared Shaw at the Broad Institute (now of UC-Davis) and Prof. Masahiro Murakami (Kyoto University).  In the fall of 2006, he joined the Toste and Arnold groups as a joint member.  He is currently pursuing applications of vanadium imido catalysts in organic synthesis.
