Issues:

Budget

• About a 40k budget
• Last year went over by about 4k
• Will have budget for events in Jan/Feb

Dates

• Weekends of Feb 25th and March 11th

Logistics

• Expecting about 50 prospective students to visit (about same as last year)
• Not recruiting any less students, even with recent university-wide budget issues
• Visiting students will stay at Hotel Shattuck Plaza in downtown Berkeley (will set up escort so they don't have to walk alone)

Issues from last year

• Professors outside of set meetings - they need our help to break into social circles (current grads need to introduce them)
• Scheduled campus tours are wanted: Current grads could come up with an efficient tour as opposed to general campus tour (~1.5 hrs)
• Roommate info: Let them know who and when they arrive
  • Also, list of all visiting students and respective schools
• Alternatives to drinking at end of nights
  • Provide evening activities
• Transportation from airport: same but maybe provide cell number from buddy to give them emergency contact
• Prof. Iglesia will work on not having Sat. morning faculty meetings (possibly have multiple students at once in the Friday meetings)
• Safety (e.g. compared to midwest): have this as part of the GSAC panel
