- Fellowship policy still the same, with base salary of 2700
First Recruiting Weekend Completed
- Overall, went quite well: no negative feedback
- No major issues with shuttle
- One professor went to Sat. night dinner (Smit)
- Should keep track, and see if it was successful
- 7 or 8 faculty showed up to Friday night dinner
- Good communication between prospectives and faculty and current grad students
Picking up prospectives for friday faculty dinner
- Drivers were harassed by parking enforcement for picking up people at red curb
- Possibly find a new pickup location
- Try the front of Hearst Mining Building (no red curb - still no parking though)
Other Visit Weekend Feedback
- Some prospectives disappointed that they were strying so far away from campus
- Could not walk around and explore
- Some students never got a campus tour
- See if campus tour services could set up something for our visiting prospectives
- Need to be more carful with easels at the poster session
