Welcome to the website of the the Graduate Student Advisory Committee (GSAC) of the Department of Chemical Engineering at University of California, Berkeley. Our overall goal is to provide input and assistance with departmental functions and policies that affect the graduate student body. Some of our activities include:

• Compile data on housing costs for students and lobbying for pay raises
• Help recruiting new graduate students
• Organize departmental graduate student instructor (GSI) training
• Organize department picnics, sports events
• Invite special GSAC colloquium speaker
• Provide input on curriculum changes

There are other projects that we can begin, but we are limited by our size. GSAC is a volunteers organization, so if you are interested in helping out, just send an email to cheme.gsac AT berkeley.edu and you will be added to our email list! We meet about once a month for an hour to an hour and a half. If you have any ideas on things we can do to make graduate student life better, please let us know. We will do our best to implement them.
