Synopsis:
The photodissociation dynamics of neutral molecules following excitation at 193 nm are studied utilizing one of two photofragment ionization techniques, electron impact or photoionization with tunable VUV synchrotron radiation.
Molecules studied:
Unsaturated hydrocarbons.
Information obtained:
Translational energy distributions, product channel branching ratios, photoionization efficiency curves, reaction mechanisms.
