Synopsis:
An anion is electronically excited by a pump pulse, an electron is detached by a probe pulse after a time delay, and the kinetic energy of the electron is determined by imaging on a phosphor screen.
Molecules studied:
Small anions and anionic clusters.
Information obtained:
Femtosecond dynamics of the anion excited state.
