IWPRS 3.00.0033 saves data files differently than the previous implementation, PRS 2.91. OLD - data files were named according to user input. NEW - data files are named "session," and stored in a directory or folder with the user specified name. New procedure: Directories will be created by PRS 3.00 with user entered SESSION name, such as: ChemQuiz20040830_2 Inside these directories will be the data files, always as: session At the end of the week, using the designated computer (see below), go to each directory name and single-left-click the NAME FIELD - twice, not in rapid succession. This will "mark" the filename. You must be careful not to touch any key at this time, other than CTRL-c, which will store the directory-name in the copy-paste buffer. Then, navigate INTO the selected directory, being certain the directory you are opening is the directory whose name you just copied with CTRL-c. Being sure you are in the correct directory, single-left-click twice on the filename field, "session," marking the filename. Now, CTRL-v to paste the directory name into the data file name. This will be done on the last day of each week, usually Friday. These files will be uploaded to ucbdemolab briefcase and Digital Chemistry upload tool. Note: PRS native = new data structure, folder has informative name renamed = data file has been renamed with informative folder name Data flow, location, and storage type: 1) Dell Inspiron 3700 (PRS laptop) -- always PRS native data structure 2) USB drive -- always PRS native data structure 3) Dell Inspiron 7500 -- PRS native, alternate renaming platform 4) Dell Latitude D505 -- PRS native until Friday, then renamed files 5) ucbdemolab briefcase -- always renamed files 6) Digital Chemistry - upload tool -- always renamed files
