Spectrometric titration

WARNING - experimenter should become familiar with the properties and
handling of materials described before proceeding.

Assemble apparatus as in UCB physics E+30+15. 

To this, add a ringstand assembly, starting at the bottom:

1) magnetic stir machine (compact type)
2) three-finger extension to hold reaction vessel, museum jar
3) buret clamp or (2) small three-finger extension, buret

Add enough water to reaction vessel to cover beam. 
Align reaction vessel assembly with beam in front of slit. 
Add 2ml 6M phosphoric acid. 
Add ~1-2ml thymol blue pH indicator
Add stir bar and start stir machine
Titrate with 1M sodium hydroxide.

Note spectrum change as titration progresses.
