Project Summary:

A special apparatus based on the diaphragm cell method was built to determine the permeability of salt through contact lenses. It basically consists of two well-stirred reservoirs separated by the membrane. Diffusion takes place due to concentration difference between reservoirs through contact lens. Salt concentration in water is determined by measuring the conductivity of the solution as a function of time.
