Why Chemical Biology?
This summer research program allows undergraduates a chance to see what chemical biology is all about.  This relatively new field continues to demonstrate the power of using chemistry to answer questions in biology.  Although working at this interface is not new in science, formal training in the strengths of both disciplines is new.  As one of the few universities in the country to offer a chemical biology program, Berkeley works at the forefront of science to develop scientists trained to research with this dual focus paradigm. 

Summer Research at Berkeley:
We are looking for diverse junior-year undergraduate candidates to place in labs for summer research. Stipend, travel, and room and board are competitive. If you are passionate about chemical biology and interested in doing summer research at Berkeley, please e-mail your CV/resume with a cover letter explaining you career and graduate school goals to chembio@berkeley.edu by Feb 1.
