The Stacy Group Powder X-Ray
Diffractometer is operated as a user facility for graduate students
and postdocs from several departments on campus.
If you are interested in becoming an XRD user:
- Obtain dosimetry. Training materials and forms are available from
the Office of
Radiation Safety. The required forms are the Radiation Producing
Machines Training Certificate and the Radiation User Information
Record.
- Add our instrument (RUA 1451) onto your group's Radiation Use
Authorization, if it is not already listed.
- Read our XRD policy
and the schedule.
- Contact Lee to set up a training
appointment.
